Yahoo is an application which performs various tasks like Search engine, Messenger, etc. You can store your mails here. However if you want to quit using yahoo services you can easily delete your yahoo account by following these simple steps :
1) Go to the Yahoo! Account termination page.

- After going to the page, Sign In by entering your username & password.
- If you can't login, click I can't access my account, select the problem you are facing, and then you gain access to your account.

- After reading you will notice that if you delete your account, you will lose access to all yahoo services such Yahoo Mail, contacts, Flicker account, etc.
- After you enter your password and the captcha code and select "Terminate this Account" you will be redirected to a page which will confirm that your account has been deleted. Your account will be completely deleted after 90 days.
